Words: dunes, coils, morphed, squinted, eager, twitch Paragraph: Her wings twitched as she let the sand fall through her fingers. The little grains rolled against one another, creating a little mound much like the large dunes before her. Coils of weeds and spikes of dune grass held the sand into rolling shapes as the landscape reached the water. She thought for a moment about how the waves pulled the sand that these plants tried so hard to grasp back out to sea, but dismissed it from her mind when it started morphing into something personal. She squinted, peering out over the water. No ships today. Her wings twitched again, as if eager for a good fly, but she couldn't. Not today. She couldn't risk another beating. Couldn't risk having her wings stripped. I want to see your practice! Comment for some feedback! Finished with this prompt? Click here for Prompt #9!

Shedding his three piece suit like a snake sheds its skin, he donned his spandex bicycle shorts and close fitting green jersey, morphing from high-powered executive into the rugged outdoorsman that lived within. He stood at the top of the sand dune, squinting in the bright afternoon sun. The horizon stretched into oblivion and peace settled over him. He had looked forward to this very moment all week, eager to shed the stress of his job, yearning to become one with nature again. His shoulders twitched with anticipation and the energy built up in his belly like a coiled spring. He mounted his bicycle, sniffed the fresh lake breeze and headed off down the beach.
